This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Crest + Oral-B.
Lennon is almost two now and I often look back and realize just how fast time flies. Those 9 months of pregnancy can seem like such a long journey at the time, but looking back on that time you realize just how fleeting that time really was. Being pregnant wasn’t always easy, but I do often miss the baby bump and I find myself looking back at photos from when I was pregnant. I think maybe even with a bit of nostalgia knowing that it was your last pregnancy.
I am partnering with Crest, Oral-B, and the March of Dimes today on a mission to promote healthier moms and stronger babies in hopes that every woman who’s brushing for two makes an intentional, positive and sustained change in her oral health.
If you are thinking about starting a family, pregnant or you recently had a baby, starting a daily oral health routine with a regimen that includes Crest Pro-Health toothpaste with stannous fluoride, Pro-Health mouthwash and an Oral-B brush, is an important way to ensure that you’re getting all the benefits you need to help ensure a healthy mouth during pregnancy.
Gingivitis does not discriminate. During pregnancy, your hormones can make your gums soft, sensitive and sore and up to 70% of pregnant women experience gingivitis associated with changes in hormone levels during pregnancy, but 56% of women report not seeing a dental professional during pregnancy.
Crest and Oral-B are raising awareness among women considering starting a family or pregnant about a simple fact that might be right under their nose, literally – gingivitis does not discriminate.
Pro-Health toothpaste contains the active ingredient, stannous fluoride, and provides a comprehensive all-in-one protection in the areas dental professionals check most – cavities, gingivitis, plaque, sensitivity, tartar, whitening, acid erosion and fresh breath – to help ensure you have healthier gums and stronger teeth. The stannous fluoride in Pro-Health goes beyond the regular fluoride found in most kinds of toothpaste to provide added gum benefits, which is especially important for pregnant women.
So if you are thinking about starting a family, or are pregnant you should take a look at the Crest boards on Pinterest and #BrushingForTwo on Instagram and share your story with us.
