1. Why did your family start using oils?
My curiosity struck when I heard essential oils could help get rid of headaches! I tried Young Living’s Peppermint oil for the first time and I was a true believer right away. My headache, that typically would last all day long and put me out of commission several days a week, went away within 20-30 minutes and did not come back. I became a believer and decided to order a starter kit because I wanted to start diffusing my oils. That led me to start researching the other oil uses and found that I could do so much with the oils I had, what was especially exciting for me was learning that oils could also help my girls get to bed early and sleep better! I quickly found out there was more to these little bottles than just making things smell pretty. I had heard the phrase – “there’s an oil for that” and realized that there are literally hundreds of reasons to use oils – anything from helping my daughter’s eczema, teething, cleaning the air of bacteria, cleaning and sanitizing our home, preventing colds, help with mentral cramps, flu symptoms, asthma, chest congestion, anxiety, depression and the list can go on and on. So my journey began and I haven’t looked back!
2. What are essential oils? How do they work?
Essential oils are the life blood of the plant, they bring oxygen and nutrients to the plants that they need to thrive. Essential oils are able to cross the blood brain barrier and the molecules are so tiny that they are able to reach our brain’s control center to heal at the cellular level and not just mask symptoms. They bring therapeutic change to the body at a cellular level, dealing with the root issue and supporting your system as a whole. Due to legal limitations, I cannot specifically say that oils will “cure, treat or prevent” any issues or diseases you may be facing, but I can give you countless of testimonies, many personal to myself and my family, on how oils have been life-changing.
3. Why buy from Young Living vs the grocery store?
I chose this company of oils because they are a seed to seal company. They have been around for 20 years and are experts at what they do. They have farms all over the world where they plant, cultivate, distill, test and seal the product without the use of chemicals and pesticides. Not all oils that you see out in the market are safe to consume or use on little ones. They may be diluted with fillers, chemicals or a variety of other ingredients that will not give you the same benefits as pure, therapeutic oils like the oils from Young Living. If you are going to be using these oils with your family, your kids, in your recipes or ingesting them, it’s important to make sure they are safe. All my research in this has led me to trust Young Living and their oils.
4. Is there a required monthly purchase after I buy the starter kit?
There is absolutely no obligation to make any monthly purchases when you purchase a starter kit and become a Wholesale member. Signing up as a member simply means you are signing up to receive discounts as a wholesale member. I like to think of it being similar to having a membership to Costco or Sam’s Club. You pay your initial fee (Starter Kit is $160) and you never have to buy anything again if you don’t want to.
5. Do I have to sell oils or keep an inventory of oils?
Nope! You are under no obligation to sell anything or keep an inventory of products. You never have to tell anyone about YL products or sell their products. You do not have to make this a business by simply buying the kit and becoming a member. However, if later down the line your friends or family members want to buy oils from you they can and you can receive bonuses for your referrals.
6. Why does it ask for my social security number on the sign-up page?
See #2. If later on someone decides they want to purchase a starter kit, you can sign them up to purchase the same kit you received and you can receive bonuses for your referrals. Because of this option that YL gives you, your social security number is captured up front. But you never have to do this. This is just a government requirement.
