I often look back at photos from when my kids were babies and I can’t believe that time has gone by this fast.
I am amazed by the bond my kids have. I could see it really early on, especially with my two girls. They are 14 months apart and at first, I had no idea what to expect. Some said to watch for jealousy, others said she might even ignore the baby. But she completely embraced her and loved her and it melts my heart to look back on these images.
That bond has carried through to today. I look at photos now and I can see the little girls they are blossoming into and I have so much pride.
Being fourteen months apart can be hard, that’s for sure. There’s no point in sugar coating it. Sometimes they fight for the same toys, sometimes they annoy each other and hurt one another’s feelings, but those times are definitely outweighed by the good ones.
And now we have added in our third baby, and our little man is growing up before our eyes. He looks up to his sisters and wants to do everything they do.
They love him so much. My oldest daughter carries him sometimes and I have no idea how that child can pick him up, but she does.
This is my life. Sometimes crazy, sometimes chaotic but always full of love and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.
