Last year showed us that winter weather can come sooner, end later, and hit unsuspecting parts of the country. And it seems to be true even this year. We have already had a freeze down south where I am, and it was here wayyy too early. We don’t typically prepare for ice and a freeze until December. But just last weekend we experienced freezing cold weather that we were not ready for. I don’t even begin to bring out our ‘winter clothes’ until after Thanksgiving! Unprepared freezes can also mean dangerous roads in some parts of the country with heavy snows, dangerous ice and some altogether rough driving conditions. It could also mean unforeseen time stuck in your car. State Farm wants to help drivers prepare themselves and their cars for the unexpected…especially for the next polar vortex.
Check out State Farm’s Winter Driving Survival Tips and see what they consider ‘trunk essentials’. The photo below is what State Farm considers as good trunk survival supplies for winter.
State Farm is also sharing a list of the 13 randomly weird things found in trunks, based on responses from a survey with KRC research. You can check out that list of Random Weird Things Found in Trunks, of what 3,000 random Americas said they had driven around with in their vehicle’s trunk.
So what’s in your trunk? Probably the weirdest thing you would find in my trunk right now is a gladiator costume. My husband wore it to a Halloween costume party and threw it in the trunk at the end of the night… 🙂 Not completely outlandish but I’m wondering if any of you have something crazy in your trunk. If you do, please share!! 🙂
State Farm is giving away a $50 VISA Gift card to one of my readers! YAY! Please use the form below to enter. Good Luck!!
