Christmas is almost here and if you’ve been to the stores lately you probably know how crazy it can be to grocery shop this time of year. Try adding three kids to the mix and it becomes a feat! Not only is the actual process of grocery shopping a challenge, but the whole preparing and getting everyone dressed and ready and out the door can become an all-day thing. Not to mention the constant worry of a baby meltdown once we finally get into the store.
Moms, you get it I’m sure….
I know this because I often times get that look from other mama’s that you do get it. You know, the looks that say, “I’ve been there”, “It gets easier”, “I know what you’re going through”, “Hang in there mama”. 🙂
There have been times where I have considered ditching an entire basket of food to make a run for the car.
After Lennon was born I started really getting into grocery shopping online. One of the first services I took advantage of and one I still use today is Walmart Grocery pickup!
The absolute best thing about Walmart grocery pickup is that you can take the time to actually shop (online) for what you want through an easy to use app. I have literally shopped for groceries in my pj’s in bed after the kids have gone to sleep or at 5AM when the little one wakes up to nurse. It’s so easy.
Once you have your groceries picked out you can pay for them online and set a 1 hour time-frame of when you want to go pick-up your groceries. I usually place my order the night before and schedule a pickup that next afternoon.
Once it’s time for you to go pick-up your groceries all you do is head over to the designated pick-up area, park your car and call the number on the parking spot sign. Someone will bring out your groceries in one of these.
I have taken everyone in their pajama’s before to go pick-up. I don’t have to worry about getting everyone ready or worry about the mood everyone is in and if the baby has had a nap. We wait just a minute or two, open up our trunk and the nice employees will usually load everything up for you too. 🙂
Here are my top 6 reasons every mom needs to shop online this holiday season.
- You don’t have to worry about meltdowns right before you get to the store.
- You don’t need to worry about the holiday crowds.
- You don’t have to take hours to get everyone ready and can spend that time actually shopping for what you need.
- You have more time to meal plan and buy exactly what you need.
- Is saves time. You can shop when the kids are asleep and pickup before dinner time the next day.
- It’s free!
Yes, the grocery pickup at Walmart is FREE! So why not try it out?
