You might have seen over on the blog’s Instagram that my girls and I went to see Alvin & The Chipmunks LIVE the other day at the beautiful Majestic Theater. The girls were ecstatic. It was a live action theater performance where the chipmunks sang and dance and it ended with a concert.
The girls had been so excited leading up to the event that we went online and watched some old Alvin movies so they could get up to speed on these particular chipmunks. 🙂 I remember loving them as a kid, we used to have Christmas records that we used to listen to them sing Christmas carols around the holidays. 🙂
Now after seeing them on stage, we can’t wait to take the girls to see the new Alvin Movie. Check out the trailer below for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip
Here’s a synopsis of the movie.
Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.
I highly recommend taking your little one to the live show if you’re in a town where they will be visiting. It made for a great family night for us. 🙂 You can still catch the show in Anaheim, CA on December 1st and in Glendale, AZ on December 4th.
The actual Alvin and the Chipmunks movie The Road Chip is scheduled for release on December 23rd, 2015 and includes the awesome cast of Jason Lee, Tony Hale, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Josh Green, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Anna Faris and Christina Applegate.
If you didn’t catch us on Instagram the other day, check out the movie hashtag #alvinmovie and you’ll be able to see some snapshots of the live shot. We all enjoyed it, and it really got everyone excited for the movie coming out in December. 🙂
