Most of my blogging income comes from sponsored jobs. And although sponsored work brings me in about $1,500 per month, I know that there is more money that is left on the table each month. I know this because some of my favorite bloggers, the one’s that I’ve been following for years now, have started divulging just how much they are making in – income report posts. If you search on Pinterest “bloggers income reports” you will see endless posts coming up on it.
Over and over the one thing that I kept seeing was that their top sources of income are coming from Affiliate Marketing. Something I know that I have yet to master. I have always heard of affiliate marketing but I suppose I just didn’t really understand how to go about getting paid by it.
One of my goals this year was to get really serious about my blogging income and to get there I knew that I had to master the art of affiliate marketing. Although I love getting sponsored work, sponsored jobs means that your work and income depends solely on other people. It depends on how many jobs you have lined up that month and then depends on the budget that company has to pay you.
Affiliate marketing is somewhat passive income. Wouldn’t it be nice to write for a few hours on a product and then continue to see that return for months, years, forever?
