It’s been a while since I received my L-shaped Oak Finish desk, from Sauder. You might also remember that I mentioned I was embarking on a new journey around the time that I received it. I started a photography business and having the new desk really gave me the ideal workspace at home. Well, I’m here to update you that I am in fact, still loving this desk. It’s so spacious and really does give me the space that I need. Since then I have moved the desk to a different part of my home. I now have a window view. 🙂 I find that opening up the windows and letting the sunlight in while I work really helps brighten my mood and helps me start my work day. I have also invested in some new desktop equipment for work and the desk is perfect for it. I was just using laptops previously but moving to a desktop was just as easy. I have even installed a printer that sits below my desk and I still have enough leg room to stretch my legs.
What I love about this new area is that I’m able to sit by the window and work and I have put some of our family photos on the wall beside it and use some of the space for my personal items. I am so in love with our first family portraits and having them here with me to look at while I work just helps with my creativity. I have always said that my girls are my inspiration, they are what has inspired both this blog and my photography passion. The desk is L-shaped so it leaves enough space for my work area and then another space for my personal things, including my cherished photos. I LOVE IT!
When I was looking for ideas on how to decorate my work area, I took to Pinterest. I was so surprised as to just how many ideas I found on ways to decorate and re-purpose your furniture to give it a completely different look. You can check out my Pinterest board here Re-purpose Furniture.
