Have you sat down to discuss your dreams or what your children dream of becoming or doing one day? Let’s talk about how to ‘Make Dreams Come True’ with your children as we welcome The Disney Ultimate Fairy Tale Sleeping Beauty in Diamond Edition Blu-rayTM, available for the first time ever on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on October 7, 2014. You might have seen the pic I posted the other day on Instagram when we first got the movie in. The girls were glued. They love Disney movies.

My little one’s are just 15 months and 2 1/2 so although they have no clue what they want to be when they grow up, my toddler does love to be the center of attention. She is always singing and dancing, wherever we go, whether we are at a family or friends house, or in the middle of Target, she is dancing and doesn’t shy away when others look at her and laugh. She loves singing at the top of her lungs, as soon as she knows the lyrics, she lets it out as loud as she can. I can definitely see her gravitating towards the arts – music, singing, instruments or something similiar someday. I will encourage it and do whatever I can to help her get to her reach her full potential in whatever she wants to do. 🙂 I think the most important thing a parent can do is help their children identify their dreams and help them understand how they can make that a reality.

We made a dream board today.  🙂 Everything she loves and is today. Check it out. She is very proud of it.

And here, she is saying “Ta Da” 🙂  image2

I loved this simple and easy little project we did.

I had a square bamboo wall piece I bought from Target many years ago that was just sitting in our garage. First she painted it white with some craft paint and foam brush. We let it sit to dry and then added another coat.

It dried for a couple of hours before we started applying foam stickers that we found at the craft store. The stickers were letters, so I made them into words that described her and her interests right now. She loved going over all the letters with me and was saying them outloud with me as we placed them on her dream board. She had the best time putting the star stickers all over the place.

It’s hanging on our wall now, above her craft area. 🙂

Here’s a “My Dream” printable that you can print out and enjoy with your own child. Talk about what they like, what they dream to be one day and their favorite things to do and have them write them all down. 🙂 or, have them make a dream board like we did!
