Today’s post is here just to give you a little inspiration for taking fun Halloween photos of your kiddos. I saw the idea of adding a foggy cauldron in as a prop and I thought the idea was so cute! The kids’ reactions were PRICELESS. Make sure to have your camera ready once you add in the fog to capture those smiles and giggles.
To make your foggy cauldron, all you need is dry ice and warm water. It took me a few calls around our city to find a store that sold dry ice. Here’s a tip. Load up your car with a small cooler and some dry towels to preserve your dry ice after you purchase it. It will start evaporating almost immediately. To preserve it, wrap your dry ice block in dry towels and put it in a freezer. Do NOT store inside the fridge or freezer!
Also remember that the smaller the piece you buy, the smaller the amount of time you have before it evaporates away. Dry ice is so cheap, we bought more than enough just to be sure that we would have a big enough block to put inside our cauldrons.
Here are more photos from our photoshoot below, and you can actually see the fog in action over on our Instagram.
