Maintaining my breastmilk supply is super important to me, even though Lennon is now going on 13 months he is still breastfeeding multiple times a day and in the evenings. But there’s more….not only is he a picky eater but we also recently found out that he is allergic to everything (wheat, corn, dairy and peanuts), so everyday it’s a challenge trying to get him to eat what he can eat. My breastmilk supply is now even more important because he is growing and needs to maintain his weight which has plateaued since he developed his allergies.
I have tried many things to help boost my supply, but today I am showing you what I attribute to helping me see an increase in my supply almost overnight. I would say literally within 24-48 hours!
Mrs. Patel’s Fenugreek Bars not only taste delicious but they are full of goodness that help you lactate and can also help enhance postpartum healing.
I started eating these and right away, like literally the next morning, I felt the increase. My son typically nurses as soon as he wakes up, usually until I feel the breast empty, but even after he had finished I still felt my breast full!
“While the poppy seeds and fenugreek help you lactate, the ghee and coconut enhance the quality of your breastmilk (passing on their high nutritional benefits to your child) and the peepmarul (a root wildcrafted in India) and powdered gum (a resin from the axle wood tree) work to strengthen the joints, promoting muscle flexibility and energizing the body. “
They are truly delicious too. I eat at least one a day, sometimes two. I like to warm it up and have it with my coffee in the morning! YUM.
I have eaten them frozen too, straight from the freezer, and they taste like ice cream!
In addition to the chocolate bars they also sell Munch Crunch, Chai Tea and several other products to help with lactation. The Fenugreek bars come in original, chocolate, peanut butter and they even offer Gluten Free and Vegan options!
I don’t pump often but there are sometimes when I need to. Like when the hubby and I go on date nights 🙂 which happens very rarely, but when it happens I do like to leave the little one with milk.
Just a cup or two of Mrs. Patel’s Chai Spice Tea and I have more than enough to nurse AND pump before we leave the house.
No matter where you are in your breastfeeding journey, you must check out Mrs. Patel’s lactation goodies!
