JUNE & SCARLETT’S 3 & 4TH SCOOBY-DOO BIRTHDAY PARTY

The girls birthday party was this weekend. One of my favorite things to do as their mama is plan their special day. It’s one of the reasons I started a blog to begin with, to document their special days so that they can see this when they get older.

I’m most definitely not a Pinteresty party mom. The day of the party is complete chaos, I am always running late, there are things that don’t get done, I forget things – like my cake stand! But the party goes on, and my girls have a blast and in the end that’s all that matters.

Some of the best advice I can give when planning your childs birthday party is something I realized several years ago – hire a photographer or even a family friend or relative to take the photos. I can’t tell you what a huge stress reliever this was and always has been. You want to be sure you capture all the special memories but you can’t be everwhere at once either. Hiring someone to take the photos ensures that you will be there in the moment with the people that matter most, that you will get this day preserved in time AND you will actually get to be in some of the photos!

This year we did it at the Witte Museum. Food was easy with chicken salad sandwiches made by the grandmas.

We served chips, popcorn and of course Scooby Snacks!

I found these cute Scooby Doo Treat Bag Printables for the party favor bags on Etsy.
