Manhattan Toys || Wooden Toy Review

I received free products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.

A few weeks ago I took to on an online search for some new toys for the girls. I didn’t really know what I was looking for but I didn’t want the same plastic toy that they already had so much of. When I came across Manhattan Toy, and some of their Wooden Toys, I just knew those were the ones.

Manhtattan Toy sent me 2 wooden toys for this review. We received the Skwish, in Natural, for the baby. And for my toddler we received the Puppy Push Pal. They both were big hits with the girls.

The Skwish is a developmental toy for babies that helps develop their motor skills. This was taken from the Manhattan Toy website.

Our Classic Skwish goes natural. Skwish fascinates babies with its twisted web of rods, strings, and beads. Babies squeeze and stretch Natural Skwish and watch in amazement as it slowly pops back up into its original shape. As with our other Skwish products, Natural Skwish is made from replenish able rubberwood with a water based, non-toxic finish. Skwish offers visual stimulation and helps develop motor skills in children.

Baby J loved it. She was able to stretch it, pull it and she liked the noise it made when she shook it and the beads would hit each other.

My toddler is at that age where she wants to push things around the house, anything at all. Her grandpa uses a cane and when he comes over she pushes that cane around for hours. So I knew she was going to love her Puppy Push Pal. And she did….

She loved pushing it around, all over the house. This was taken from the Manhattan Toy website.

This adorable little friend has an all wood body and push pole. His front legs move while being rolled. Touch his tail to see how it wiggles and wobbles.

I love that these are wooden. They are not the plastic toys the girls will break in a few days after rough play. My girls like to toss and throw their toys everywhere, and with these I’m not worried about them falling apart easily.

Here are some photos of the girls enjoying their toys.

My toddler enjoyed removing the head and putting it back on. 🙂 Good practice of her fine motor skills. She got pretty good at it after a while.

She also personalized her puppy a bit with some of her flower stickers. 🙂

I would highly recommend Manhattan Toy Wooden Toys for babies and toddlers. They are good quality, sturdy and my kids loved them.

What a wonderful pair of toys. Your children look like they are enjoying playing with them. I agree with wood being less of a worry. It is just so much easier to allow you children to play, and not have to be scared of pieces falling apart and becoming dangerous.
