This is part of a sponsored promotion with Mommypolls.com and AdvertisePals. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
Have you ever heard of the website called MommyPolls.com? I actually came across this website just the other day as I was scouring Pinterest for some home ideas. I had come across a Pin that linked back to MommyPolls. When I saw it, I thought it was a GREAT idea for moms! So when the company contacted me to give an honest review of their site I was happy to do it.
Here’s what their homepage looks like.
Think of it as an online community meets social media site for moms. Not only do you have the option to join in on conversations, follow posts and leave comments, but the biggest attraction that separates it from other online communities is the option to post polls.
The reason I think the poll idea works so well is because, I don’t know about you, but there are many times where I have been on other mom-baby communities, and I have to scroll and scroll through pages until I find something relevant to what I have questions on. Not to mention it’s much quicker and easier to respond to a poll than to have to click and comment.
I have a toddler and a 3 month old, so I literally have minutes sporadically throughout the day when I can get online before a baby cries or someone is tugging at my pants to be picked up. It’s so much easier and quicker to 1. Check poll results and 2. Respond to a poll with 1 click.
Now, if you are a mom who does like to engage in open discussions with others and leave comments, then there is still that option in the Questions section. So this site really has it all.
This is part of the email I received after I registered that explains a little more about what the site has to offer.
In addition to the polls and the discussion area, they also have a neat section for articles where you can post links to articles you think other moms may be interested in reading. I think this is a great feature because I remember when I was pregnant with Scarlett, all I did was search online for articles about pregnancy or babies. I soaked up as much info as I could. 🙂
First time moms, we want to make sure we’re doing everything right . 🙂 And let’s face it, the internet is the go-to place for everything these days.
The “My Page” section is where you can go to see anything that you have followed. You know how sometimes other social media sites will bombard you with stuff you never signed up to see? Well, you will only get on your page what you want to see.
One thing I haven’t mentioned is the ability for moms to earn points by actions they take on the site. The points can be redeemed for gift certificates, which I think is a neat perk! Basically you get points by helping other moms, so if you leave a comment on a question or answer a poll and other actions.
So pay it forward, give a little advice, help another mom out with your expertise and you get something in return. 🙂 NICE.
So what do you think moms? Is this a site you could see yourself using if you have questions other moms might be able to answer?
