Continuing with our oily routine, next up is our afternoon oils routine. After the girls have eaten their breakfast and before we go outside to play, the girls will drink up some NingXia Red, which is an essential oils infused dietary drink. I drink this myself, up to 4 oz a day is all you really need. It gives me a burst of energy when I really need it. For the girls, they drink about 1 oz a day each. NingXia red is all natural and full of essential minerals, vitamins, zinc, amino acids, antioxidants and the list goes on and on…since the girls hardly eat their veggies (still working on it) I am glad they at least love this.

We have 3 diffusers in our home, so depending on where they are being diffused depends on the recipe we use. Being that the fall is here I love to diffuse something festive around the house, my favorite combination right now is a mix of Clove, Nutmeg and Thieves. It makes the home smell like fall…think Cinnamon or Christmas cookies!

We love to go outdoors in the early afternoon after breakfast and before it gets too hot outside. So after the girls have been running around and have gotten dirty, I bring them inside for an afternoon bath. After bathtime we use a Gentle Baby balm I made, which is a mix of shae butter, coconut oil, Lavender and Gentle Baby essential oil.

And for Scarlett, since she has eczema on some spots on her arms and legs, I will use a lotion mix of Lavender and Melrose on her problem spots.

Once it starts getting later in the afternoon and we are about to get ready for naptime, I will diffuse a sleepy blend in our room that usually consists of Lavender, Peace & Calming or Valor or a combination of them all.

For myself, since I have been pregnant I have been making the MOST of their afternoon naptime and taking a nap with my girls when they fall asleep. I will use my Tranquil roll-on on my wrists and I will apply a little to my chest. Tranquil is amazing! It’s a blend of Cedarwood, Lavender and Roman Chamomile.
