If you follow our family on social media you know that we planned a trip to Disney World this past month and did not tell the kids until really last minute! It was the first time we had ever done anything like this before. I scoured the internet for ideas and finally came up with a Surprise Box idea where we wrapped up clues in boxes that got smaller and smaller until the final box which revealed a letter from Mickey & Minnie revealing the big surprise.
Watch the video below to see how we did it and how excited the kids were. Even after they opened the last box, it didn’t really sink in until they read that letter from Mickey & Minnie. You can find them all over Etsy, so cute!
A few weeks before we told the kids, I printed out this printable online and took pictures of my son so that we could send it to our family members letting them know where we were going. I also posted it on Instagram and thought it was the funniest thing since he can’t read yet, he had no idea but he was so excited to take photos and wear some Mickey ears.
