So, I started a YouTube Channel. Say WHAT?!?! I know what you’re thinking….You’re a BLOGGER, not a VLOGGER. I have absolutely zero experience when it comes to taking video and editing it. I love writing and photography is where my heart is and has always been, but we just returned from our first “sponsored trip” with Royal Caribbean and part of my contract with them was to put together a recap video of our trip. A “sponsored trip” basically means it was a working cruise for me. Our family and I were flown to Florida to board the world’s largest cruise ship, Oasis of The Seas, and I was hired to capture content for them. It was AMAZING!! We saw the solar eclipse from the top deck and celebrated with a DNCE concert and Bonnie Tyler sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart” during the eclipse.
MINDBLOWING, all of it was.
When we got home, I started working on my recap video for them and I have to say that I have so much more appreciation for video and the emotions it was able to capture, so much more than photography I think. Even though I love still photography, I have a new fondness for video. I can’t tell you how many times I became teary-eyed watching my kids on video from our trip. Video captures so much more and I am so excited to delve into it more.
Last night I uploaded my final recap video to YouTube and dressed up my channel a little more and I’m so excited to share it with you. Take a look at my recap video below and I’d love for you to subscribe to my channel because I am already working on my next video!
