I love having little girls….love love love…having girls is so much fun. Every year we say we’re going to do a small birthday party for the girls with just the family, but once I start planning I can’t stop and I have to invite all the family and friends. 🙂 This year my little June Bug was turning 2 and we decided on a royal tea party because the girls love to play tea party here at home. I knew it would be fun for them to play with all their little friends and cousins.
I ordered the girls some dresses from Tutu Du Monde because they are just AMAZING. They have a real princessy look and feel and I knew my girls would love wearing them. I also needed some dresses for the girls to wear for an upcoming photo shoot with me. 🙂 And these were perfect.
We had a little fun playing dress-up a few days before the party. 🙂
I used one of her photos for the invitation that I made in Photoshop.
We kept things simple on the dessert side. We served fresh fruit and some pink cookie wafers that my girls love to eat along with cake and cupcakes. My sister made the cake and I made the cupcakes with these adorable cupcake molds I found on Amazon. They actually came with a matching saucer and I cannot believe I forgot to put them out that day! Too much running around that morning…. I made some tulle pom poms and hung them from the light near the dessert table.
Decorating was pretty easy. The girls already had a table where they love to have their tea parties. I just picked up some fresh flowers and I found some vases at a thrift store for .99 cents that I spray painted gold. Those adorable crowns are from Etsy. I heart Etsy.
When the tea party guests arrived, we transformed our coffee table into the main tea table for all the girls and had them sit on pillows. They all came dressed!! The looked so adorable. The princesses even had a server that day – aka Grandma. She served them their tea (lemonade) in their beautiful porcelain tea cups that she bought just for them. She bough them a set each! She also made the pearl necklaces that the girls are wearing. The girls also had a station setup (not pictured), with a basket full of princess crowns, wands, rings and bracelets that the girls could dig into and put on and look at themselves in a mirror. They loved it. 🙂
Then the girls had fun serving tea to each other.
After the cake and gifts, all the girls headed over to the playroom to hangout.
It was a good day. 🙂
