My family’s health is extremely important to me, and that includes my family’s skin. Our summer’s in South Texas are harsh. It can get over 100 degrees on any given day starting in June and it can last all the way through August. We are going to the beach in a few weeks and one of the things that we stocked up on is NEUTROGENA® sunscreen. We love Neutrogena’s line of sunscreen products because there is literally something for everybody.
Last year was our first trip to the beach as a family. It was so wonderful spending the days out there by the water. We hope hope to make a beach trip a yearly trip…or maybe even multiple times a year.
With multiple trips to the beach each year, protecting our skin against sun-damage is a top priority. I usually wear sunscreen underneath my makeup in the summer. Before I apply my makeup in the morning, if I know I’m going to be outdoors for even just an hour, I will apply a sheer, non-greasy, moisture resistant sunscreen to my face. And for my kids, it’s the same way, they will get a sunscreen applied before we leave the house. Our favorite sunscreen to use for our kids is the Neutrogena Wet Skin Kids sunscreen. I like that it is SPF 70 and it’s water resistant and lasts at least 80 minutes, so I don’t have to keep interrupting the fun to reapply.
The Wet Skin Sunscreen is the first ever water-resistant lotion sunscreen specifically designed for wet skin application to provide broad spectrum sun protection in wet/sweaty or dry conditions. It’s formulated with HELIOPLEX® Technology: a breadth of water-resistant technology that provides full strength protection even on wet skin. It is sweat-resistant and water-resistant that creates a protective barrier on skin delivers superior protection from the sun.
My personal favorite is the Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen.
The NEUTROGENA® ULTRA SHEER Body Mist Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, 45, 70 and 100+ is a One-touch continuous spray works at any angle making it easy to protect hard to reach areas. It is also formulated with HELIOPLEX® Technology. It is water-resistant and sweat-resistant for 80 minutes and non-comedogenic, so they won’t clog pores. It has a light, fresh scent and is oil and PABA-free.
My husbands personal favorite is the CoolDry Sport Sunscreen Lotion.
The CoolDry Sport Sunscreen is a powerful sun protection that wicks away sweat, leaving the skin cool and refreshed. It has HELIOPLEX® and MICROMESHTM technology. MICROMESHTM technology is clinically proven to allow perspiration and moisture to pass through the sunscreen without compromising the full strength SPF protection. Being active outdoors requires a powerful sunscreen to stay protected, but most sunscreens can leave a greasy and sticky feeling that makes skin feel hot and suffocated. The scientists at Neutrogena have created an innovative technology that eliminates the “glazed” feeling sunscreens can create with the launch of CoolDry Sport. It cools skin down by 1‐2 degrees.
According to the NEUTROGENA Choose Skin Health website, one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lives. Yet skin cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. And with early detection, most skin cancers are curable. Skin cancer typically occurs where sun damage has been accumulated over time.
One in five….that is pretty significant.
NEUTROGENA® wants you to share why and how you practice sun safety with the hashtag #ChooseSkinHealth. The more people tweet, post and share their #ChooseSkinHealth stories, NEUTROGENA® will unlock exclusive content from celebrity Brand Ambassadors on why they’re joining in this effort.
