weekend recap. got totally soaked on rides @sixflagsfiestatexas it was finally under 90 degrees and being outside was bearable. the character meet & greets were a little different in that you couldn’t give hugs 😢 but we got close enough for photos. masks were required but weren’t to bad. we wondered how it would be for rides and wearing it a few hours but we could do it again! my only cry was that i couldn’t get pictures of the kids faces on the rides. 😏 how was your weekend? did you do anything fun?

It’s so easy to feel lost during this time. My kids went to school one day in March and didn’t realize that when they said bye to friends and teachers that it would be the last time they would see them for a while. Our normal went out the window from one day to the next.
So when I get the chance to give my kids a little bit of that normal back and I see big smiles on their faces, it means the world to me. #ad I am so happy to be partnering with @mcdonalds McDelivery for Hispanic Heritage Month. my sweet sunshine girl. I took her to Hobby Lobby yesterday and all she picked out were Christmas decorations. This girl is already playing Christmas carols in her room and has written 3 letters to Olivia the elf. (Swipe right). She has a whole setup on her dresser and is already counting the days until Christmas. 🎄🤗

i’m sure i’m not the only mom that has recently put on a few extra hats these past few months. (math teacher, PE teacher) how are you all doing?? i feel like we’ve adjusted pretty well. there are some crazy days, but the good thing about homeschooling is that you can take each day as it comes and make changes as needed.

one thing i don’t have to worry about though is getting the day started with a good breakfast. the girls have so many favorites from @momsbestcereal that we switch it up everyday. I was also so happy to see a Gluten Free cereal my son enjoys!

i can’t believe i’m a mother to a 4, 7 and 8 year old. wow. someone told me once - “hold them mama, because tomorrow they’ll be a little bigger than they were today.” 😭

In a house with three small kids, I can go without a breakfast, and not always by choice. My mornings are so busy that I sometimes forget to eat, and by the time lunchtime rolls around I am starving. Week one of homeschooling is down in the books! After lots of research we finally decided what we’re doing this year for our kids schooling. I wrote all about it on the blog with the curriculum we’ll be using, all the details and reasons why we chose homeschooling and how we will be structuring our lessons. It was a little overwhelming because are so many curriculums out there and then again, my girls want to eventually go back to school. So we’re doing what we think is best for our family. June has already started decorating her room for Christmas. She has letters to Olivia the elf and baby elves and even made them some scarves for when it gets cold. 🤗 It’s Christmas in July over here 🎄

started setting up our homeschool room today. we decided to wait on sending the kids back for now so we will be doing homeschool versus virtual. i feel like it’s personally better for us to move at our own pace. the kids are excited about it, something new and different but then again everything is so different right now. our plan is to go back to school eventually but for now we’re starting 2nd and 3rd grade here at home! i’m not going to lie, i’m feeling a bit nervous and a lil overwhelmed with it all but overall feel like my kids will thrive working at our own pace. they were so un-motivated with our virtual classes at the end of the last school year. what are your plans for the upcoming school year?

So we got a bunny. And she’s precious. The kids named her Fluffy. Lots of smiles from these kids lately, she’s definitely been keeping them busy. It was a perfect time for a new pet now that we’re home all the time. I wasn’t sure how our dog would react to it, but turns out he’s scared and runs away from her 😆 so he pretty much leaves her alone. Did anyone else get a new pet in quarantine??
