This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Latina Mom Bloggers and State Farm. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
I received A LOT of feedback in response to my post last week about State Farm accepting submissions from people who want to make a difference in their communities. Most had not heard of this really great opportunity that State Farm was giving to people to help their communities. If you missed my post last week, State farm is giving away 40 $25,000 grants and pairing up individuals who submitted the winning causes with non-profits that can help them solve the problem.
This is an amazing opportunity for individuals to make a difference. Being a co-founder of a non-profit animal rescue in my city, I know how hard it is trying to fight that uphill battle. And it can definitely feel like sometimes, your in it by yourself. To have a company like State Farm behind this, gives hope to individuals who work so hard to try to make a difference in their communities.
Here are a few photos of last years winners.
The submissions are being accepted NOW! So if you have a problem or issue in your community that you want to solved, head over to the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook app and submit it. Submissions will close once they reach 4,000 submissions so do not wait.
