The girls are really progressing with their swimming practice and getting used to the water. 🙂 If you read my earlier swim progress post, then you know that my hubs has been adamant about teaching them to swim at a young age. So now, he has been taking them into the deep. 🙂 Supervised of course, on his back to be specific, and both are showing that they are not only comfortable in the water, but also enjoying it. This, is what my husband says is the first step to getting them to learn to swim!
We had a little stay-cation a few weekends ago and the hotel we stayed at had an amazing pool. He took each of the girls into the pool and had them sit on his shoulders, he swam underneath the water and they stayed up top. Both of them LOVED it. They had an amazing time.
We also received a new water toy from Swimways called Gobble Gobble Guppies that proved to be a hit with the girls.
My toddler is learning colors and counting right now, so she loved playing with the different colored guppies and had the shark eat them one by one as she counted and called out the colors. It’s a great water toy and helps them learn at the same time.
Here is some information from the Swimways website:
Brightly colored floating guppies are numbered – perfect for preschool counting practice.
Each pack includes 1 shark and 5 guppies.
Squeeze-powered trigger opens the whale’s mouth.
They are really enjoying this summer in the water. I will continue to keep you posted on their swimming progress!
